Origin
The word Coffee in Arabic means ‘wine’. The origin of coffee dates back to the 15th century in the middle-east. It is said that sufi saints used this to stay awake during some spiritual ceremonies. The main source of coffee is said to be from Ethiopia. Coffee then was smuggled into different parts of the world. It is said that in first coffee seed planted in India was in Mysore, Karnataka.
